Oklahoma City Anchor Is Back to Work and Cancer Free

In November, KFOR morning anchor Ali Meyer did a breast cancer prevention story.

As part of her piece, she got her first mammogram to show women in Oklahoma City how easy it was.

What she didn’t expect, after filing the piece, was to get a call saying she herself had breast cancer.

Well, after two months, a surgery and lots of prayers, Meyer is back in the anchor chair and cancer free.

“I disappeared a week before Christmas, I had surgery, stayed one night at Lakeside women’s hospital and honestly everything went perfectly,” she said during her first night back on Thursday.

Doctors gave her a clean bill of health after the surgery was complete.

Meyer is a mother of four and joined the station in 2000.
