Pat Kiernan has seen how local news production, delivery and consumption has changed in the 22 years he’s been anchoring at NY1, the Spectrum-owned 24-hour news channel in New York City. But Kiernan says one thing won’t change: there will always be a need for local, and in some cases, hyper-local news coverage.
