NY1 reporter Josh Robin got a tip that led him to a foster agency in New York City where children from the border were taken from their families.
In the exclusive story, Robin got video of five Spanish-speaking girls walking into the facility at 12:45 a.m. The woman who was escorting them denied they had been separated from families. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo later confirmed to the station that wasn’t the case.
The story has received national attention. Hundreds of children have been brought to New York after being detained at the border.
