Nick Sturdivant has been named evening anchor for Tegna’s Charlotte, N.C. NBC affiliate WCNC.
Sturdivant will join Jane Monreal at 4 p.m. weekdays and will also anchor on Saturday evenings. He starts on October 30.
“Nick has a strong connection to the Carolinas, and his dedication to community journalism will be an asset for WCNC Charlotte we serve viewers across the region,” said news director Carrie Hofmann.

Sturdivant was most recently an anchor and reporter at WNCN in Raleigh-Durham, N.C. Earlier in his career, he worked at WXIA in Atlanta, and at WGHP in High Point, N.C.
Monreal will continue as the Sunday evening anchor.
