New York’s WNBC Announces Hosts For New 5pm Lifestyle Show

NBC Universal executives in charge of local programming officially announced the hosts of their new daily lifestyle show, “LX New York,” which on September 14 will replace the 5 p.m. news on WNBC-4.

Out: longtime, seasoned journalists Sue Simmons and David Ushery.

In: Sara Gore, Siafa Lewis, and Michael Flocker.

Who are the new hosts at NBC’s flagship station in New York, charged with helping NBC Universal reinvent local media in the 21st Century?

Mr. Flocker is the author of “The Metrosexual Guide to Style,” “The Hedonism Handbook,” “The Fame Game,” and “Death by PowerPoint.” According to today’s press release, USA Today once proclaimed him the “oracle of panache.”

Ms. Gore is a lifestyle anchor, who not long ago memorably observed that anyone who suggested that New York was “losing its mojo” was “completely insane.” More…
