‘New Girl’ Gets Apology for Being Identified as Boston Bomber on KDFW

Zooey Deschanel star of FOX network’s show “New Girl” got an apology from a closed captioning service that mistakenly identified her as one of the Boston Bombing suspects.

The mistake showed up on the Dallas FOX owned station KDFW, during Friday night’s live coverage of the arrest of suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev.

The New York Daily News reports Caption Solutions says it’s sorry for the gaffe,

Lawrence, Kan.-based Caption Solutions says it and its captioner “deeply regret” the mistake. Company president Kala J. Patterson says in a statement issued Tuesday they “sincerely apologize for this error.”

Deschanel re-tweeted the mistake Friday night writing, “Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL! “@joelmchale: Oh my RT @peterogburn: pic.twitter.com/F3sbpmq9WO
