Nashville Court Issues Apology to Shoved Reporter

Davidson County Clerk John Arriola apologized Thursday for the actions of a deputy clerk who shoved a television news reporter out of an employee break room, then out of the building, while the reporter was investigating a tip that Metro workers were playing slot machines during work hours.

News Channel 5 reporter Phil Williams and a cameraman went to the county clerk’s office in MetroCenter on Wednesday and filmed employees playing slot machines in the break room. Williams was asking workers if they were on Metro time when he was told to leave by Deputy Clerk Joey Workman. More…
