Nashville Anchor Gets Once in a Lifetime Award

Nashville anchor Holly Thompson has won a one-of-a-kind award.

The WSMV anchor was named Hendersonville’s first ever Woman of the Decade.

Thompson was presented the award at Thursday’s Chamber luncheon, an event that she also emceed.

“We are all extremely proud of Holly,” said WSMV news director Mitch Jacob. “Anyone who knows her knows this is very well deserved for her tireless work for the community.”

As part of the award, Heritage Financial Group will make a donation to a charity of Thompson’s choice, in her name.

Thompson moved to Hendersonville in 1997, and still lives there with her husband and boys.
