A Myrtle Beach reporter has made a major market jump.

Max McGee left his anchoring post at WMBF in Myrtle Beach, S.C. for a reporter-anchor job in at WBZ Baltimore, Md.

“After reporting and living in Myrtle Beach, I have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to broaden my professional goals and to move closer to my family,” he said on Facebook.

McGee starts his new role on Jan. 21. He was only in Myrtle Beach for two years. Prior to that, he worked in Louisiana.
