Morning Blend Omaha is going away and will be replaced by a syndicated show.
“It has been our pleasure bringing you The Morning Blend for the past eight years. KMTV will begin airing the syndicated talk show Pickler & Ben at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21st,” the station announced on Facebook.
“For the last eight years this has been the only local show in Omaha bringing you local lifestyle content. We’ve brought you the people and the places that make our community special,” said anchors Mike DiGiacomo and Kelly Nyberg.
Both KTMV anchors expressed their disappointed with the station’s decision to cancel the long running show.
“I don’t agree with the decision. But I’m not the one who makes the calls. It is a whole big company and they have a grand plan for everything,” DiaGiacomo said.
Pickler & Ben, a talk show featuring musician Kelly Pickler and journalist Ben Aaron. Scripps, the company that owns KTMV and syndicates the show, announces plans to launch a second season of the show in September.
