Erick Weber left Orlando Fox-owned station WOFL on July 22.

The Orlando Sentinel says viewers were asking what happened after they didn’t see him on air for awhile.

Weber, who came from Fox’s Charlotte station WJZY, was announced as a new anchor on June 24.

“Choosing to leave Fox 35 is an incredibly difficult decision to make. While Fox provided an outstanding opportunity for me, the stress of living 2,500 miles away from my family, who were unable to join me, was far more impactful on me and my work than I anticipated,” Weber said in a statement published by the Sentinel. “I want to thank Fox for their support throughout and wish nothing but the best for the truly exceptional ‘Good Day Orlando’ team.”
