More Changes at WXIA, Jaye Watson Leaving

By Kevin Eck

Jaye Watson says she’s “stepping back” from her anchor position at WXIA.

“My soul needs to take the next leap,” Watson wrote on her blog. “I am still going to tell stories. I will still attend master classes. I’ll be doing all of that at Emory University in a position I never could have dreamed up for myself. I will be telling stories for them, and I will still be telling stories from time to time on 11 Alive News.”

Watson has started at WXIA as a general assignment reporter in 1999 and was named an anchor in 2014.
