Minneapolis-St. Paul’s WCCO Names New VP-GM

Veteran local television executive Brien Kennedy has been named Vice President and General Manager of WCCO-TV, the CBS-owned station in Minneapolis-St. Paul, it was announced today by Peter Dunn, President, CBS Television Stations.

Kennedy, who earlier in his career oversaw the operation of three CBS-owned stations in Miami and West Palm Beach, is returning to CBS after having spent the past three years as Executive Vice President of Freedom Broadcasting and General Manager of WPEC-TV, the Freedom-owned CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach.
