WDJT became the first station in the market to use a drone for news coverage.
Sky Drone 58 made its debut on the CBS affiliate’s 4 p.m. newscast yesterday.
“The remote controlled small aircrafts will greatly expand CBS 58’s ability to deliver up to the minute news coverage with high definition aerial imagery, offering an enhanced news experience to the viewers of southeast Wisconsin,” says the station.

The Weigel-owned station has two drones and three FAA licensed pilots on staff and says it hopes to expand it fleet in the near future.
