Longtime Miami investigative reporter Michele Gillen has left CBS-owned WFOR after 19 years.
“I want to personally share with you the news that after 21 years with CBS and 19 years at CBS4 in Miami, we will be parting ways,” Gillen wrote on Facebook. “Most importantly, I would like to thank all of you who trusted me with your stories and journeys, and all the amazing and supportive viewers who have welcomed me into your homes — for nearly two decades — and followed my reports.”
Gillen, a South Florida fixture over a 40-year career, previously worked at WPLG and WTVJ. She also worked as a correspondent at NBC News. “We’ll let her Facebook post speak for itself, and we certainly wish her well,” WFOR general manager Adam Levy told Gossip Extra.
