Michael Lewis Named GM of KTUL in Tulsa

Michael Lewis has been named vice president and general manager of Sinclair’s ABC affiliate KTUL in Tulsa, Okla.

Before joining Sinclair, Lewis was the svp and gm of WJZY and WMYT in Charlotte.

“Michael is an accomplished General Manager, successfully driving revenue growth and effectively managing high-performing teams for over 15 years,” said Rob Weisbord, chief operating officer and president of broadcast for Sinclair. “We’re thrilled he is joining Sinclair to lead KTUL and look forward to continued success at the station.”

Before working at WJZY, Lewis worked as vp and general sales manager at WTTG and WDCA the Fox owned duopoly in Washington D.C. He’s also worked as vp and gsm at WBRC in Birmingham, Ala., local and national sales manager at WBBM in Chicago, national sales manager at WUPA in Atlanta, local sales manager at WHP and WLYH in Harrisburg, Pa., and regional account manager at WRGB in Albany, N.Y. He began his career as an account executive for WNYT in Albany.
