Sources in both Lafayette and Alexandria have confirmed that KATC weekend meteorologist Kari Hall is leaving the station in a few weeks to join the morning broadcast team at KALB. A 2003 graduate of Mississippi State University, Hall joined the Lafayette ABC affiliate in January of 2005 and covered the biggest weather event of the century–Hurricane Katrina (as well as Rita, Gustav and Ike). Hall also does environmental/ecological news reports for TV3.
