Marti Skold to Debut as News 14 Carolina Anchor

By Andrew Gauthier

Marti Skold is set to join the anchor desk at News 14 Carolina beginning December 1st, when the 24-hour cable news channel officially introduces her as its new weekday morning anchor.

Skold spent the last five years at Salt Lake City’s KTVX, working as a weather anchor and daytime host. She departed the ABC-affiliate last month and has been working on special projects for News 14 Carolina while preparing to make her on-air debut.

“We’re pleased to be bringing Marti and her television journalism experience to News 14 Carolina’s statewide network. She’s worked in North Carolina before and is excited to be back near friends and family,” said News 14 Carolina vice president and general manager Alan Mason, in announcing the move.
