Man Climbs KTLA Tower, Wants to ‘Free Billie Eilish’

By Kevin Eck

A man holding a sign that read “Free Billie Eilish” climbed up the KTLA tower in Hollywood last night.

The Los Angeles station said the sign holding man drew a large crowd and disrupted traffic for several hours before finally climbing down.

The man was seen sitting about 30 feet up the tower and straddling the KTLA marquee while holding the sign which also said “MK ultra sex slaves Donald Marshall clones” on the back. At one point, he was seen playing an electric guitar.

The fire department put a large inflatable airbag below the tower as crews tried to remove the man safely. KTLA said he was uncooperative and, at one point, told officers he would come down in 20 minutes, but stayed up there for over three hours.

Power was shut off to the tower and the electronic marquee, and police propped up a ladder for the man, who climbed down around 9:30 p.m.

He was arrested without further incident and faces charges of trespassing, according to LAPD. His name has not been released.
