This year’s Thanksgiving parade was the highest rated Parade since 2004 in the New York market.

According to Nielsen, the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade generated a 14.1 rating among Adults 25 to 54 on WNBC in the New York market.

“NBC’s excellent coverage of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has grown to new heights, both on air, and on-line. We are thrilled that so many viewers made NBC 4 New York part of their Thanksgiving Day tradition,” said Eric Lerner, President and General Manager of NBC 4 New York.

Nationally, the three hour telecast metered higher than any entertainment broadcast since the Oscars on NBC in February. The parade, anchored by Today’s Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker, averaged a 12.5 rating, 27 share in households in the 56 local markets metered by Nielsen and a 7.0/32 in adults 18-49 in the 25 local metered markets.
