Los Angeles Morning Anchor Heads Home to Miami

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

2020 has made plenty of people think about their priorities. For KTTV anchor Vanessa Borge, her priority—being near family—has prompted a job move.

The Good Day LA morning anchor is leaving the Los Angeles Fox station after three years and moving to Miami for another morning anchor job, she announced.

“So why am I leaving?” Borge wrote on Instagram. “Well, this year was undoubtedly a burden for all of us … but it was also a blessing. 2020 reminded me what I already knew—family is EVERYTHING! 3,000 miles separating me from them was already torturous but the inability to see them for months has been unbearable. I love you, LA but my heart remained in Miami and it’s time I return to it.”

Borge will head to Fox station WSVN, and she will be a familiar face to some viewers. She was formerly a producer, reporter and anchor at CBS News in Miami before moving to Los Angeles.

Her last day on KTTV will be Wednesday.

I HAVE SOME BIG NEWS!!! 🎉After three wonderful years in Los Angeles, I’m heading back home to MIAMI! My last day at @foxla will be Wednesday. So why am I leaving? Well, this year was undoubtedly a burden for all of us…but it was also a blessing. 2020 reminded me what I already knew – family is EVERYTHING! 3,000 miles separating me from them was already torturous but the inability to see them for months has been unbearable. I love you, LA but my heart remained in Miami and it’s time I return to it. NOW! Where am I going?! I am THRILLED to announce I’ll be part of South Florida’s #1 Morning Show, @wsvn!!! Can’t wait to get started and reintroduce myself to my hometown! But until then, I’ll be in LA a few more weeks packing up and saying “see you later” to the life-long friends I have made here! More sentimental and long-winded posts to come! 😊 #MiamiBound #ImComingHome #WSVN
