Longtime Oklahoma Anchor Steps Off Desk to Report

By Kevin Eck

Longtime Oklahoma City anchor Kelly Ogle says he’s moving off the early evening anchor desk at KWTV to spend more time reporting.

“For a while now, I’ve been itching to have a little more time to report, to follow up on some of the stories I’ve covered over the last 35 years and see whatever happened to them,” Ogle told viewers of the CBS affiliate in an on-air announcement. “Also, to take you to some of my favorite places in Oklahoma.”

Ogle says he’ll continue anchoring the 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts, but will be replaced by Karl Torp at 5 p.m.
