Jacqueline “Jackie” Pillers died on Tuesday, December 2 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville due to a neurological disease. She was 53 years old.

Pillers was well-known in the Nashville TV community, having worked the trifecta of stations in town. She spent nearly 20 years as a producer at NBC affiliate WSMV, and also spent time at ABC affiliate WKRN. Pillers was most recently the special projects producer at CBS affiliate WTVF.

Pillers was beloved by her community. Her obit in The Tennessean describes her thusly:

Her laugh was infectious and unforgettable. She was the brightest (and blondest) sight in any room. Jackie left this life with more friends than anyone can count, and as an organ donor, she left her own priceless gifts.

As one tipster told TVSpy: “With a nearly (if not) 30 year career in the market, [Pillers] had all friends and no enemies in the business — a hard trick to pull off.”

Longtime WSMV anchor (and close friend) Demetria Kalodimos is organizing the service. More details can be found here.
