Longtime WSVN anchor Diana Diaz is leaving the Miami Fox affiliate after 23 years to work at a healthcare company.

Diaz will be the chief communications officer for MSP Recovery, a company that recovers money from Medicare and Medicaid that may have been paid out improperly.

Her last day at WSVN is Oct. 7.

On social media, Diaz told viewers the move is bittersweet and that she’ll miss what she calls her news family and her viewers.

“What you may not know is that for the past 7 years I’ve also been hard at work alongside another immensely talented group of people, as part of the team that built a startup from the ground up, to become one of the nation’s leading healthcare data analytics companies,” Diaz wrote in a Facebook post. “We are proud to announce that MSP Recovery is now going public as the second largest SPAC merger in the U.S.!”

According to the Miami Herald, MSP Recovery is looking to make Medicare and Medicaid solvent by recovering what it says are trillions of dollars in improperly paid claims.
