NBC 5 reporter, Mary Ann Ahern, has been honored for her commitment to political reporting in Chicago.
She was inducted into the Silver Circle Friday, an award the Chicago Television Academy established to recognized journalists who have devoted 25 years or more to the business.
According to her station bio, Ahern has been at the NBC-owned WMAQ since 1989.
