Local Crew Attacked at Richmond Anti-Trump Rally

WWBT reporter Mike Valerio tweeted that he and a station photojournalist had been attacked while reporting on an anti-Trump protest in Richmond, Va.

FTVLive, which first reported the news, says Valerio told viewers about it while on the NBC affiliate at 11 p.m. Valerio said the incident happened just before he went on air.

Valerio, who has worked at WWBT since 2012, says other protestors helped the pair out.
