LIN Media Selling WUPW In Toledo For $22M

LIN Media is selling WUPW, the Fox-affiliate in Toledo, to a subsidiary of American Spirit Media for $22 million, according to the Toledo Blade.

WUPW has been owned by LIN Media since 2002. The company said in a statement they had “filed an application with the FCC to assign WUPW-TV’s license to WUPW License Subsidiary LLC, an indirect subsidiary of American Spirit Media.”

American Spirit Media is a Charlotte-based company owned by Thomas Henson. Henson also owns WXTX in Columbus, WSFX in Wilmington, WUPV in Richmond and KYOU in Ottumwa, IA.
