Meredith has chosen Les Vann to lead its Fox affiliate in Greenville, South Carolina.
Vann, who was named vp and GM of Fox affiliate WHNS, last worked as GM at WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida. He’s also worked as GM in Indianapolis at WISH-WNDY, as GM Of WKRC in Cincinnati, Ohio and at WTGS and WJCL in Savannah, Georgia. He’s also been GM at stations in Illinois, Iowa, North and South Carolina, and New York and started his career at WICS in Springfield, Illinois.
“Les is an experienced television executive with a proven track record of news, sales and community leadership across a variety of markets,” said Meredith Local Media Group president Paul Karpowicz. “We are very excited about bringing Les back to a market he knows well, and where he had tremendous success.”
He starts Monday, April 10.
