The Buffalo News is reporting sports anchor and reporter Lauren Brill is leaving CBS affiliate WIVB.
News media writer Alan Pergament says a source told him the station has placed an ad looking for her replacement.
According to the source, Brill made the decision to leave before Channel 4 had to a chance to decide whether to keep her when her contract expired in August.
AdvertisementIt is unclear if she has another job. However, the source indicated that her abrupt departure suggests that she most likely has an opportunity elsewhere or else she would likely want to stay until her replacement is found.
Brill came to WIVB inAugust 2012 from 24-hour high school sports network MSG Varsity.
