Someone in Houston pointed a laser at the KTRK helicopter last Thursday.
The ABC owned station reported on the incident, saying the laser was pointed at the helicopter for about ten minutes while it was hovering during the morning newscast.
The crew called police because a laser can disorient and blind the pilots.

Last year, the FAA received over 9,700 reported laser strikes from pilots, the most ever recorded by the agency.
