KVOA’s weekend anchor is getting promoted.
Alyx Dote will transition to the weekday morning news. She will co-anchor Monday through Friday with Sean Mooney.
“Alyx is a natural for our morning anchor chair,” said news director Cathie Batbie. “She has filled-in recently and built a great on-air rapport, not only with her co-anchors, but the audience loves her as well.”

Prior to joining the NBC affiliate in Tuscon, she worked for KRCR, the ABC affiliate in Chino, California. She is a graduate of San Diego State University.
Dote will take over the morning anchor chair on March 14.
