The take no BS KUSI consumer reporter Michael Turko is retiring after 20 years.
Today will be his last day on the job. Turko’s final report aired Thursday evening.
“I will genuinely miss San Diego and the KUSI family. I’m proud to have been part of this organization and believe that it is the finest proudly independent station in America,” he said in a goodbye letter.
The 62 year old used a fake last name to protect his identity while chasing bad guys in San Diego. He is a former lawyer turned reporter and graduate of the University of Texas.
After almost 20 years I am retiring from KUSI-TV and the news business this coming Friday. It’s been a great run! San Diego is a truly great place! I will miss it all, but it is time for me to move on. My final report will air Thursday at 10pm. Thank you and God bless you all! pic.twitter.com/ztCXJGel4N
