Nexstar continues restocking its local station gms with the announcement that David Candelaria has been named vp and gm of EL Paso, Texas NBC affiliate KTSM.

Candelaria comes from Entravison Communications where he was vp and gm of KINT and KTFN along with five radio stations in El Paso. Before that, he was with Paso Del Norte Broadcasting Corporation where he’s worked as gsm, national sales manager, and as a member of the board of directors before the company was bought by Entravision in 1997.

“Throughout his career David has demonstrated a results-oriented and entrepreneurial approach to the business of broadcasting and a deep dedication to the local El Paso community. We are confident that his valuable management and strong relationships will enhance the position of our broadcasting and digital media operations in El Paso,” said Julie Pruett, svp of Nexstar Broadcasting. “Localism is our top priority at Nexstar and with David’s many years of success and notable achievements, we have the highest degree of confidence in his ability to continue elevating the value and service of KTSM-TV and ElPasoProud.com to the local market.”
