KTLA anchor Courtney Friel is open about her job, family and sobriety.

And now, the Los Angeles anchor and former Fox News correspondent might be the feature of a biopic.

According to Variety, Friel’s recent memoir, Tonight at 10: Kicking Booze and Breaking News, which was released a decade ago, has piqued the interest of Zero Gravity Management. The company has optioned the rights to Friel’s memoir for its Inspire division.

In Tonight at 10, Friel writes about getting hired by Fox News when she was 26 and her struggles with alcohol and drug addiction.

“Zero Gravity looks forward to developing Courtney’s story into a feature film,” Andriana Williams, head of development for Inspire, told Variety. “Our Inspire division champions stories that uphold the triumph of the human spirit and Courtney’s journey aligns perfectly with this. Her story is both comedic while also being sensitive to those struggling with addiction. The contrast of being a straight-laced Fox reporter and a party girl is also something ripe for humor with the potential to appeal to a large demographic.”
