KSWO meteorologist Austin Bowling announced he’s leaving the station and the business.

“This Valentine’s Day will be my 8-year anniversary with KSWO! I can’t believe it’s been that long ago since this shaggy-haired kid from Tennessee came out here. Unfortunately, our time together is coming to an end,”

Bowling said he decided to leave the broadcast business in April after a lot of soul searching.

“I will always be thankful for my time here. It’s where I landed my first job. It’s where I assumed the chief role in 4 years time. It’s where I’ve covered some of the wildest weather in the country. It’s where I was saved and baptized. It’s where I met my wife. And it’s where I’ve been welcomed in to many of your homes, schools and businesses over the last 8 years,” he said in a Facebook post.

Bowling joined the ABC affiliate in Lawton, Oklahoma in 2010. It’s unclear what Bowling plans to do next.
