Oklahoma City station KSBI is cancelling two of its local programs, Oklahoma Live! and Wild Card.
“I can confirm that KSBI has made the decision to discontinue production of Oklahoma Live! and Wild Card effective Friday September 19, 2014,” JaNiece Cranmer, executive producer at KSBI, told TVSpy in an email. “We have no comment as to why the shows were cancelled. They will be replaced with syndicated programs.”
The station appears to be moving away from local, live programming in general. An article in The Lost Ogle on Tuesday suggested as much, claiming that the station laid off almost its entire staff due to the cancellations. A source told the site that it was due to “some kind of money/budget restructuring thing but they couldn’t or wouldn’t say more.”
