By Kevin Eck

Jack Holland, the KMVT meteorologist accused of rape is “on leave” from the Twin Falls, Idaho CBS affiliate.

Station gm Tim Coles told TVSpy the same thing he said in a statement on the stations’ website, but added a comment about Holland’s employment status.

“We are reviewing the information provided to us by the court about Mr. Holland’s arrest and charge,” said Coles. “We take the allegations seriously, and we will follow this situation and report on it as we would any similar case. He currently is on leave.”

Holland was charged with raping a woman Friday night. The Twin Falls Times-News reports Holland was arraigned yesterday on one felony count of rape.

Holland’s attorney, Chuck Peterson, said during Monday’s arraignment his client “adamantly denies the charge.”

“I think this is an incredibly thin case, and we’re going to defend it,” Peterson told the Times-News after the arraignment. “I don’t think he’s guilty of anything.”

Twin Falls County Prosecuting Attorney Grant Loebs said he couldn’t comment specifically about this case.
