Brian Thouvenot is no longer news director of St. Louis CBS affiliate KMOV.
He was hired in March 2014 to replace Sean McLaughlin who moved into a corporate role for E.W. Scripps.
Assistant news director Amanda Purdum will act as interim news director.
Thouvenot worked as a digital content manager at KMOV from 2008 until 2012 before working as the interim news director at WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky.
