Gabe Gutierrez, who has worked as a general assignment reporter for KHOU in Houston since 2010, has landed a job with NBC News.
NBC News president Steve Capus announced today that Gutierrez is joining as a network correspondent based in Atlanta. Starting next month, Gutierrez will report across all NBC News platforms, including “Today,” “NBC Nightly News,” and MSNBC.
A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Gutierrez began his broadcasting career at WBOY, the NBC-affiliate in Clarksburg, WV. He eventually moved on to WJRT, the ABC-affiliate in Flint, MI, where he was named “Best Reporter” in 2009 by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
