Kelsey Woodard Joins WQAD in Moline

Screen Shot 2014-09-08 at 9.42.27 AMMoline ABC affiliate WQAD has hired Kelsey Woodard as meteorologist, replacing Cassie Heiter, who left for Oklahoma City’s KWTV.

The Quad-City Times reports Woodard’s got experience as a storm chaser:

A native of Atoka, Tenn., Woodard has a degree in geoscience, with a concentration in professional meteorology and an emphasis in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University, one of the leading colleges to produce TV weather experts. While at Mississippi State, she participated in several university-sponsored tornado chases.
