Denver meteorologist Jessica Lebel is leaving KDVR and KWGN after six years.
She posted the news to social media by saying this week would be her last at the Fox affiliate and that she is getting out of “the news business.”
“It is bittersweet to be moving on from the only career I’ve ever known. I dreamed of becoming a broadcast meteorologist in Denver since I was 15 years old and feel so lucky I got to make those dreams a reality,” she said. “It’s now time to chase other life dreams of mine like starting a family, spending more time with loved ones, and having a better work/life balance. Working in TV has been a wild ride, and one I will never forget.🤍I will post more next week about my new opportunity and am hopeful for sunny days ahead in my new life adventure.”
Lebel started working at KDVR-KWGN in 2017. Before that, she worked at KKTV in Colorado Springs. She’s also worked at KKCO and KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado.
