KCAL Meteorologist’s Contract Not Renewed

By Kevin Eck

Meteorologist Rich Fields no longer works at KCBSKCAL.

A station spokesperson told TVSpy Fields’ contract wasn’t renewed. “KCBS and KCAL appreciate his contributions and wish him all the best,” said the spokesperson.

Fields was the evening meteorologist for the Los Angeles CBS-owned station for six years. His bio, which has been removed from the station website, said he worked in radio for 25 years before going back to school to get his meteorology degree. He started his TV career at KPSP in Palm Springs, Calif.

In 2004 he became the announcer for the CBS daytime game show The Price is Right and worked four seasons with Bob Barker and three with Drew Carey.
