Kathy Kuretich has been promoted to morning co-anchor at KSBY, the NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo.

Kuretich will begin in her new role on April 1 after she returns from maternity leave, joining Richard Gearhart and Dan Shadwell on the morning newscast. She replaces Carina Corral, who left KSBY for KSEE in December.

“We are incredibly excited to have Kathy join the Daybreak team,” news director Doug Barden said in a statement. “She’s one of those versatile news anchors that I know will work hard every day to bring the most up to the minute news stories to our viewers.”
