Little Rock anchor Mallory Brooks will become KARK’s 4p.m. anchor when she returns from maternity leave this Summer.

Brooks has anchored the morning news for the Nexstar owned station for the last decade.

“Being able to bring the news to Arkansans each morning over the past 10 years has been both an honor and a joy. While I will miss working with our incredible morning show team, I am so grateful to KARK for this new opportunity,” said Brooks.

In the interim, anchor Ashley Ketz will anchor the 4p.m. show and when Brooks returns she will transition back into her role as a the co-anchor of the 5p.m., 6p.m., and 10p.m newscasts. The NBC affiliate launched the 4p.m. newscast in February.

Brooks joined the KARK team in 2007 after working as a reporter in Northwest Arkansas. She’s a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas.
