WCMH general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, Karina Cheung, is leaving the Columbus, Ohio NBC affiliate.

In an announcement on social media, Cheung said that after spending more than eight years in television and radio, her “time in local news is coming to an end.”

I am so honored to have been able to do what I love in this community and that is to tell stories,” Cheung wrote. “As for what’s next, stay tuned.”

Before joining WCMH in December 2020, she worked at WHP in Harrisburg, Pa. She’s also worked at WTAJ in Altoona, Pa., and started her career as a production assistant at KYW Radio in Philadelphia.
