Karen Drew Named Anchor at WDIV

Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV has named Karen Drew anchor of its 4 p.m. newscast.

Drew is an investigative reporter at WDIV. She takes over for Ruth Spencer who is retiring at the end of the year.

“Karen has an incredible depth of news experience and is both relatable and a force in investigative journalism,” said news director Kim Voet. “She is one of the market’s most versatile journalists.”

Before coming to WDIV in 1998, Drew worked at WHOA (WNCF) in Montgomery, Ala., WTVC in Chattanooga, Tenn., and WJXT in Jacksonville, Fla.
