WDAF Kansas City reporter, Katie Banks, says she’s leaving the business.

“After months of soul searching, deep conversations with family and friends, and lots of prayer, I have decided to take a hiatus from the TV news business to pursue other career opportunities,” Banks said yesterday in a Facebook post.

The FOX 4 reporter explains that she lived out her childhood dream to report in Washington D.C., Greenville and most recently for the Tribune-owned station.

“P.S. For all those curious as to where life will take me next, I will continue to update this page with my adventures!”.

Banks posted a picture picture last night of her last WDAF live shot with the caption “that’s a wrap”.
