Kelley came to the Chicago Fox-owned station in 2013 from NBC-owned KNTV in the San Francisco Bay Area market.

“We want to thank Jon for his many contributions to Good Day and wish him much success in his future endeavors,” said Dennis Welsh, vp and gm of WFLD.

Smith will be reunited with Good Day ep Dan Salamone who was his news director at WOIO in Cleveland. He was an anchor and reporter at WOIO. He’s also worked as a Chicago based correspondent for ESPN.
