Johnny Chappell Leaving News 14 Carolina

By Kevin Eck

News 14 Carolina anchor Johnny Chappell is leaving TV broadcasting for a job in real estate.

“I’ve been a licensed Realtor since 2006 and am leaving to focus on working with residential real estate clients and building new homes,” Chappell told TVSpy. “I’ll still be living here in Raleigh.  It was a tough decision but I’m excited for the new challenges and the change of pace.”

Before coming to the Time Warner Cable news outlet, Chappell worked at WLTX in Columbia, SC. He has also worked in radio at WVOC in Columbia and, according to his bio, has held on-air and management positions at two TV stations in Wilmington, NC.
