Yesterday, Steve Edwards celebrated 20 years at LA FOX owned station KTTV.
The celebration didn’t include former co-anchors Jillian Barberie or Dorothy Lucey.
Barberie spent a good part of her KABC radio show talking about the snub. “Dorothy and I were there for 18 of those 20 years. Did they show a clip of us? Nuh-uh.” Barberie later claimed KTTV edited the two of them out of videos shown on the show.
“To celebrate 20 years without us being part of 90 percent of that 20 years, and to snuff us out,” said Barberie. “It was not Steve by the way…It was an executive,” she added.
She went on to say, “To completely diss two people who were hugely part of making that show what it was is ridiculous.” It starts at at 5:15 on the embed below:
She also vented her feelings on twitter (see below). We asked KTTV for comment. We will update when we hear back.
Producers were told “we don’t exist” by a Fox executive I will name today during my show. https://t.co/WIVbAYzFNq

We were not asked. I was told the Exec at Fox told producers that “Jillian and Dorothy don’t exist” makes me sad https://t.co/vrqkQcAmf5

Not sure what @DorothyLucey and I did other than love working at @GDLA and put in 18 long years with @SteveGDLA to be dissed so blatantly.

Calling in live to Fox executive who decided that after 18 yrs of @SteveGDLA 20 years that @DorothyLucey and I “don’t exist” he won’t answer

Listening to the sage words of @POBPATOBRIEN who gave the advice “let it go” which is perhaps the best advice I’ve heard in a long time

Today, she added the executive’s name:
Thx for all the love and support!! The show was a big part of my life too. Kevin Hale made the call to exclude us. Not sure why………
